Mission: Learn Sonic Style Phase 1

I have a new goal for this year:
Learn the Sonic Style

I've always wanted to learn it, so i started out by learning how to draw an eye, i will go step by step on everything i need to know to learn it, then add it all together

How does it look?

Sorry if its small. I started out trying to draw a full character, but then i came up with the idea mentioned above.
